Hundreds of revellers descended on Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng on 12 November 2022 for the Black Coffee headlined show. The gig was a jump, and the best way to usher in festive in grand style.

After aggressively promoting the highly-anticipated show, the “Black Coffee in Botswana” music festival, the Grammy award winning headliner had revellers eating from the palm of his hand. The starstudded music festival pulled huge crowd eager to witness Black Coffee’s skills that transformed the music scene with boundary breaking sounds that pay homage to his South African roots. Organised by Kulture Events Management Company, the music gig had a global appeal for its potential to attract people from all walks of life and across borders. It also boasted a star-studded line-up that included other other acts, among them Euphonik, the legendary DJ Fresh, PH, Bekzin Terris, DJ Kent, Mpho Sebina, Han C, Benny T, Dato Seiko, Casper The DJ and Romeo. The revellers were estatic!

One reveller Kagiso Mokome said that she enjoyed the show. “It was wellorganised and the line-up was good. Everything else from the set-up and sound was good quality. It was worth the money that I spent on the ticket,” she said. Another reveller Lesedi Dutlwe said that it is refreshing to have a show such as this one with global appeal. “It felt like being in a big city with bright lights. The organisers really went all out to pull a stellar show that lived up to expectations. I had fun with my friends and hope to attend more such events in future,” she said. Over the past two decades, Black Coffee has fully established his presence as one of the most prominent names in electronic music and has continuously shattered boundaries across the board — most notably, following a remix for the inimitable Alicia Keys, a collaboration with international superstar Drake and the recent release of his 6th studio LP “Subconsciously” featuring the likes of Pharrell Williams, Diplo, RyX, Usher and David Guetta. The global DJ and producer has also become one of the top touring performers in the world, and has even headlined and assumed residency in global dance music hot-spots such as Ibiza, Mykonos and Las Vegas, while maintaining an impressive tour schedule.
