Harmonic Paradise adds a new twist to kiddies’ parties
Will host a beach garden in December
Kagisano Komme is using her creativity and enterprising acumen to run a successful events decor business called Harmonic Paradise in Maun.
The 26-year-old Maun native schooled in the tourist town before completing a course in business management and another in events management at Ba Isago and Limkokwing Universities respectively in Gaborone in 2019. In an interview she told Vibe that she has always loved events and she grew up watching red carpet Hollywood events such as the Grammy awards etc, and this is what inspired her to start Harmonic Paradise. She also does decor for personal events such as kiddies parties, baby showers, bridal and corporate events, and also plans and organise events. Komme said that what sets her apart from her competitors is the passion that she has and the fact that she loves what she does. “I love what I do and it is like my calling. I try as much as I can to keep up with trends and always ensure that my equipment is modern,” she said. She also noted that exclusivity is an advantage for her. “I don’t repeat a set-up. Each client gets a new and unique set up. The theme might be the same but decor will differ.” Business has not always been as smooth sailing as she thouggt it would be. “I am the new kid on the block, my business started operating in April this year, and my biggest challenge is that people are reluctant with giving a newbie an opportunity because they want to see what you have done before. I am grateful for those who have given me a chance to prove myself. I overcame challenges by continuing to knock on doors and eventually meeting people who are willing to give me chance,” she said. Harmonic Paradise has an event coming up on the 17th of December 2022 at Beach Garden Center dubbed Kiddies summer bash and another is lined up for the 25th of February 2023.
