BDF XI RESURRECTS

- BY ISAAC PHEKO

With just one game, BDF XI has jumped four places, from 15 to 11th in the 2022/23 Botswana Football League log standings after recording their first win against Masitaoka at the

Lobatse Sports Complex this past weekend. However, BDF XI have little room for celebration as they face Jwaneng Galaxy in their effort to dig themselves out of a rut.

In a post-match interview, BDF XI coach, Letang Kgengwenyane said their win and gaining maximum points is a confidence booster to the boys but they are not yet relieved. “This is because we are still in a destructive position and we do not want to be complacent and tell ourself that things are now stable when that’s not the case.” Kgengwenyane continued: “we are still going back to the drawing board and look at our weekly program from last week to identify the decisions we made and how they impacted our current results. We will then take it from there and proceed.” The experienced coach said they want to ensure that they win their remaining games before the Christmas break. In their next game, Kgengwenyane said they will be facing Jwaneng Galaxy at the Galaxy stadium in Jwaneng before proceeding to face Morupule Wonderers. “Galaxy is a very strong team and we are playing them at ‘our’ home in Jwaneng.
