- BY ISAAC PHEKO

Masitaoka FC coach, Mandla Mpofu who is leading one of the youngest squads in the Botswana Football League, says they are delivering results despite mistakes during some of their games. Mpofu was speaking in a post-match interview after his team defeated Selibe Phikwe’s Nico United 2-1 this past weekend at the Molepolole Sports Complex. After the closely contested match, Mpofu showered praises on his youthful squad citing that they are developing very well as they are teachable and coachable despite the lack of experience in some of his players. One of these youthful players include the red hot Tlhago Ratshukudu who has had an impressive start to the BFL season. The speedy winger is amongst the prolific scorers at Majatlhaga, after scoring the third strike recently when his side annihilated

Township Rollers 3-0. Despite making a number of mistakes during the game, Mandla said there is a great work ethic within the team and the results tend to take care of themselves. Regarding his next fixture, Mandla said that they are playing former BFL champions, Jwaneng Galaxy at the Molepolole Sports Complex and he anticipates a difficult game. “Even though we want to win all our remaining games, it would not be the end of the world when we lose, we will learn the hard way because this will be one of our toughest games. We all know that Jwaneng wants to win the league but they will have to come here and dig even deeper.”

Majathaga are currently in an impressive seventh place after 11 games with 13 points having won six games with one draw and four losses.
