Wins ‘Best Styled Media print Award’ at the Annual Glitz Awards of BW Celebrities

Congratulations to The Midweek Sun for winning the Best Styled Print Media Award

Two reporters, Irene Shone and Onneile Setlalekgosi-Ramasilo were nominated in the Annual Glitz Awards of BW Celebs under the category of ‘Best Styled Print Media Journalist, and Onneile won the prize.

All came looking the part for this annual event that attracted fashion and style lovers. This was an awesome moment for the fashion designers as they came up with exclusive and glamorous outfits to suit the day, just per the theme and purpose of the event ‘glitz’. Masters of ceremonies of the day, the renowned South African Sphalaphala who led the ship with the legendary Mc Leatile Moseki also looked the part. The winner, Onneile, came dressed in a golden sparkling dress that perfectly suited her. She told Vibe that winning this award was a magical moment for her. “Being a nominee for the Glitz and Glamour Print Media award was a thrilling and challenging experience. The campaign for votes was tiring, but I am grateful for the opportunity as it allowed me to gain visibility and recognition for my work,” she said, noting that winning the Glitz and Glamour Print Media Journalism award has inspired her to be more resilient in her career and continue making a positive impact through the stories she writes. Other winners included, Moeladilotlhoko news boiler, Thongbotho the comedian, Fifi Afrika the musician, Jujuvine and many more of the 43 categories. The winners were awarded trophies and incentives. The Glitz Awards team hopes to improve their prizes in the future, as they grow and get more sponsors for their event. Chairman of Glitz Awards Dickson Gothaang told Vibe that they were excited about this milestone and that the event has grown bigger and better compared to last year, emphasising that this is a sign that they are going somewhere greater.
