YAMAs next weekend

DJ Sway and the South African celebrated Pearl Thusi have recently been announced as the hosts of these fancy awards to be held next weekend on November 11th.

These awards carry a unique twist of celebrating local artistes by giving them an opportunity to compete against each other and be rewarded accordingly. This is the 8th edition of the YAMAs and many look forward to attending and finding out who the winners for this edition are. The event would be held at Molapo Showcase Piazza from 7pm till 10pm. Main sponsors for this event include; Okavango Diamond Company St Louis Lager Mascom and Taurus Batteries - Pty Ltd.

The theme of the awards is ‘Driptillinfinity.’ This kind of dress code allows people to look beautiful and styled in anything that they find to be drip and drips till infinity. This lovely fashion sense allows all to suit into their preferences. One can rock their sneakers, and one can rock their heels and still suit the ‘driptillinfinity’ theme.

During the launch of the awards, the lively presenters of Yarona Fm station came geared and dressed up all in driptillinfinity to give an idea of what they expect for the big day next week. They have this past weekend held activations towards the big day of the event where people had fun. The activation was dubbed ‘Sunday Soccer Tournament’ with a slogan ‘Uniting through football and celebrating the best in Botswana music’. People came in numbers, especially football lovers. The talented Han C also gave a sterling performance, setting the attendants on a jolly mode as they look forward to the YAMAs.
