New queen wins brand new Polo Vivo

In a glamorous ceremony that dazzled the nation,Anicia Gaothusi was crowned Miss Botswana 2024 at Royal Aria in Tlokweng. The 22 year-old from Tutume outshined her competitor­s to take home the coveted title.

Gaothusi, a former Miss Teen Botswana 2019 and second runner-up in Miss Teen Internatio­nal 2019, wowed the judges with her poise and elegance, outshining nine other competitor­s. Gaothusi is the successor to Lesego Chombo, who now holds the title of Miss World Africa.

Halle Hirschfiel­d was named first princess at the Miss Botswana 2024 pageant, while Sebaga Manyapetsa was crowned second princess for the second year in a row. Manyapetsa placed second last year, and her strong performanc­e in this year’s competitio­n led to her impressive placement.

Halle Hirschfeld was crowned the winner of the Top Model category, while Charmaine Reasentse took home the title of Beauty With a Purpose. Sebaga Manyapetsa won the Multimedia category, and Emma-Anne Tshisimogo placed in the top five. The Miss Botswana Organisati­on announced that the newly crowned Miss Botswana, Anicia Gaothusi, will receive a number of incredible prizes as part of her title. These include a brand new VW Polo Vivo from VW Autohouse Gaborone, groceries from Trans for the duration of her reign, and prizes from Lady Vanessa, Jack’s Gym, Ditec, and Homezone.

Gaothusi will carry on the legacy of her predecesso­r, Lesego Chombo, when she represents Botswana at the 72nd Miss World pageant. With her grace and charm, Gaothusi is sure to make a positive impression on the global stage and be a proud ambassador for her country.
