The mighty Majestic Five Hotel

- IRENE SHONE

For the longest time, I have admired the beauty of The Majestic Five Hotel as it is located just by the road side.

The view from afar is captivating and for the first time, I have managed to visit this beautiful resort and simply enjoyed their service. Majestic Five Hotel is a conference hotel on the Palapye skyline, offering a unique luxurious experience.

The hotel was opened in 2011, as a 3-STAR luxurious hotel that offers an all-in-one grandeur experience, design and style that pays homage to the rare wild beauty that surrounds it. It has grown to be rated as a 4-STAR Hotel today. I’m one of those that believe that travelling and spending time in a new environment is therapeutic. So I visited this lovely place over the Easter Holidays. On first sight, I was impressed by the lush colors of the hotel and the unique designs. I lodged in the first floor and enjoyed the view that overlooked the hotel swimming pool.

The hotel boasts of a total of 177 rooms, 168 being en-suite fitted with all room amenities and nine two bed-roomed apartments. Interestingly, they cater for all including those who prefer self-catering services.

With my sweet tooth mode, I enjoyed their milk shakes. They offer thick creamy milkshakes in different flavors including my favorite, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and blueberry. I was able to beat the recent heat wave by indulging in the cool pool. There is a pool bar to allow people to unwind and sip on their favourite beverages. Another interesting feature at Majestic Five Hotel is that, they have a fitness center that operates 24 hours and is fully equipped with training machinery. The hotel also has an in-house Spa offering a variety of treatments on offer with professional and qualified therapists. The two zebras by the entrance of the hotel also give the place a homely feel, as zebras are a reminder of Botswana’s beautiful tourism destinations.
