AGENT PROVIDES UPDATE ON BALE’S FUTURE

Gareth Bale’s agent has provided an update on the Welshman’s future at Tottenham Hotspur as he approaches the end of his loan from Real Madrid. The 31-year-old is nearing the end of his loan spell in the North London but there has no been no indication of extending his stay. The player’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, says there has no discussion over Bale’s future despite the winger claiming he wanted to return to Spain. “Nothing has been discussed at the moment. He had a tough ride and I don’t think that should have been necessary,” Barnett told Sky Sports. “He came as one of the best players in the world. Sure, he had a few injuries and a few fitness problems but once they were over, all he needed was to be played in the right position and to be played constantly to get back into the rhythm.”
