First Capital names Tlatsa Kgetsi winners

First Capital Bank on Friday announced winners of the ‘Tlatsa Kgetsi’ Competitio­n. The winners are Rapula Mankakabo who walked away with P50,000, while Edward Simana and Edwin Mangadi won P20,000 and P10,000 respective­ly.

competitio­n that runs from April 1 to December 31 and offers loan applicants a chance to win monthly cash prizes of up to P15,000.

In an interview with MonitorBus­iness, the grand prize winner Mankakabo expressed his intention to spend the money wisely with his wife. “I had applied for my loan two months before the end of the competitio­n. I never thought I would win, but the bank applied for me anyway. I’m still in disbelief, but I’m very happy to have won and I plan to enjoy this money with my wife,” he said. The bank also rewarded all the seven finalists with P400 Sefalana Shopping vouchers. Consumer Lending Manager for First Capital Bank, Thatayaone Matlapeng said they have increased their loan amount to P600,000 and shortened their turnaround time to just 48 hours. “We are improving as a bank, and we want to see our improvemen­ts have a profound impact on your lives,” said Matlapeng.

Mahomed-Tajbahi said the loan repayment period for the bank extends up to 84 months for loans up to P600,000 and that these loans have never been easier to access across the country.

“We have three branches in Gaborone located in CBD, Mogoditsha­ne, and Old Lobatse Road as well another branch in Francistow­n. In addition to this we have six loan centres in Main Mall, CBD, Mochudi, Kanye, Palapye, and Francistow­n,” she expressed.

The next Tlatsa Kgetsi competitio­n is set for April to December of 2022, with an undisclose­d grand prize. Previous grand prizes have included a tractor, bakkie and cash.
