Thuto SACCOS ushers in new Management Board
Thuto Savings and Credit Co-operative Society (Thuto SACCOS) Annual General Meeting 2022 ended Saturday evening, with the ushering in of a new executive board following a long and tedious elections.
The new management board was elected following the expiry of the terms of other executive board members including, the former chairperson Charles Keikotlhae who had served the maximum six-year term in office, therefore was not eligible for re-election.
Karabo Morule-Segobye was elected the new Board Chairperson. Mrs MoruleSegobye served in the outgoing board as the Vice Chairperson after being co-opted following the departure of the then duly elected vice chairperson Thekiso Clement Zulu.
The new board comprises of MonicaSegobye as Chairperson, Mr Billy Loeto as
Vice Chairperson, while Mr Owen Katse, Mr Joseph Yusuf Utwang, Mrs Dinaane Kandji, Mr Mothootsile Ralebante, Mr Layani Elias, Ms Daisy Segametsi Moroka and Mr Tshwarelo Hosia were elected to serve as Board Members.
Katse, Elias, Loeto, Moroka and Kandji are the new board members who were elected on the day to add to the ones who were retained from the outgoing board.
When giving vote of thanks on behalf of her board following their election into office, Morule-Segobye expressed delight and gratitude for the confidence the members showed in her. She said this is an opportunity for her and the new board to take the society to greater heights. She stated the her election is a clear sign of vote of confidence on her capabilities.
“I appreciate the vote of confidence on me and my team. I promise that we will work hard to take Thuto SACCOS to greater heights. I thank God for this opportunity and pray for his guidance all the way. Every member of this committee will do his/her best to ensure that we look perform to your satisfaction and protect your interests,” she said.
