A NIGHT OF GOSPEL GLEE AT MAITISONG

- BY REFILWE MOTUBE

THE creative industry is ready to partner with Apostle Simon Mokoena of Tyrannus Apostolic Church for a night of spiritfilled melodies later this month.

Speaking at a press briefing recently, Maitisong theatre artistic director, Tefo Paya, said that the venue was ready to host an event of this caliber, adding that they have also made sure that their security was ready for any threat that may arise.

Maitisong theatre prides itself in hosting live events.

“BE THERE OR BE TOLD,” screams a slogan announcing the night not to be missed. The audience is expecting a lot from the award-winning gospel artist and music producer, Tshepo Lesole, who is billed to launch a female Motswana artist at the event.

“First of all, it’s a beautiful honour to be next to the Apostle himself and also share the stage with him on the 28th of March. I encourage you to attend as its a night to experience God in a special way. I’m greatly blessed to be one of the artists that have been chosen,” said Lesole.

Another act on the line-up, KTM Choir, expressed excitement at being part of the event.

“This is our first event this year, KTM Choir is built with spiritual influence and we are very honoured to perform on the night,” said the choir’s spokesperson.

The gospel night is all about bringing together and celebrating different artists across denominations.

The organisers plan to engage more artists on their next event.

Meanwhile, Tyrannus Apostolic Church is known for reaching out to the needy and part of the proceeds from the event will therefore go to charity.

In a recent occasion, Apostle Simon Mokoena, through the church’s social responsibility programme, donated groceries and money to the less privileged in Tlokweng.
