Friday 9th April was a day of high-profile deaths as American rap legend, DMX, also succumbed to the Grim Reaper at the age of 50. Last week, we revealed how DMX was fighting for his life in hospital after a heart attack. Unfortunately it was later confirmed that the rapper did not survive.

Having grown up under very harsh and cruel circumstances, DMX channelled his pain into inspiring songs and anthems for people to hold on to.
