Local football cancelled
It was announced this week that the
BFA National Executive Committee have decided to nullify the 2020/21 football season.
Local football has been halted ever since the infamous first lockdown in April last year.
Football fans across the country are obviously upset.
“Sports is taken as a hobby in Botswana. How then people expect national teams to do well shall forever remain a mystery. That’s why I believe the Zebras performed exceptionally well in the recent ended qualifiers considering the circumstances,” declared one soccer lover.
These sentiments summed up the thoughts of most football fans who are starting to wonder if the beautiful game will ever return to local stadia.
Perhaps the new BFA leadership can turn this sinking ship around.
