TRUSS PLANT OPERATIONS MANAGER
Allied Engineering Services (Pty) Ltd is into production and manufacturing of roof trusses. The company is seeking to appoint a to manage the manufacturing and operations of the business.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will have overall responsibility for strategy development and delivery, business growth and overall business efficiency and leadership. • Ensure the profitable operation of the business • Develop and lead strategic initiatives to create business growth • Ensure the business ongoing compliance with regulatory policies and frameworks • Assist with design of roof trusses • Ensure manufacturing of trusses are as per laid out design • Ensures that production and delivery schedules are met and are optimizing lead
times • Must have at least 10 years’ experience in the industry • Have experience in capital expenditure projects • Have experience in planning, running and coordination of running truss plant
operations
THE QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 10 years in leadership role supervising a company in the line of business and
people in the timber industry • Sound performance record of business and people development • Strong understanding of the production of trusses and wall panels • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements • Possess knowledge in scheduling and shipping methods of trusses • Bachelors Degree preferably in Forestry Science, Wood Science or related field of
study. • MSC in Business or Strategic Management will be an aided advantage • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook • Proficient knowledge in Mitek Truss Design operating System • Strategic understanding of the business, good managerial skills and the ability to
establish direction and drive execution • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
