LESEDI PROJECT TAKES SHAPE
Tlou Energy’s 66KV transmission line is gradually taking shape following a progress rate of 6 percent.
The 100km line is expected to be completed by mid-2023, when sale of electricity to Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) will commence. The line will connect the Lesedi Power Project area and Serowe substation in order for the electricity to go into the national grid. With work already underway, the project is expected to use almost 650 wooden poles and 80 steel (pylons) structures. The 10MW power generated from Lesedi is expected to provide annual revenue of P125 million ($10 million) once the power plant is in full production.
