MASISI TRIES TO PULL A FAST ONE
President Mokgweetsi Masisi attended this weekend’s BDP national youth congress in Bobonong. It was HE’S remarks on the country’s fastest man, teen sensation Tebogo Letsile, that had social media warriors rushing to their keyboards.
Seemingly trying to give the ruling party credit for 19-year
old Letsile’s stellar performances on the international stage, the President blurted out, “Kana bangwe ga ba dumele ha kere ha ne e se Domkraga, Tebogo (Letsile) nka bo a sa siane jaana (loosely translated to: Most of you don’t believe that if it weren’t for the Bdp-led government, Tebogo (Letsile) would not be where he is now).”
Masisi’s comment left social media in a frenzy, with his political pundits quick to tear the President’s comments apart. “Go tlhabisa dithong tota (loosely translated to: It’s disgraceful). Another ruthless remark read, “Senselessly senseless,” while another blasted, “Re bereka go makala.... semakanyana o a bo a iporota (The President never ceases to amaze).
