BRITAIN PUT TRUSST IN LIZ
On Tuesday, Liz Truss was announced as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
Truss, who was the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, replaced the controversial Boris Johnson to become Britain’s fourth PM in six years. She is the country’s third female leader after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
Many online have mixed reviews at the 47-year-old’s appointment.
“The UK has gone to the dogs. Rising crime, soaring inflation and strikes. She has her work cut out for herself,” was one observation.
Fearing the worst, an antiTruss campaigner pointed out, “While everyone is congratulating Liz Truss, let’s remind you all of her platform. She is pro tax cuts for the rich, war with trade unions and no real action plan on energy bills.”
Good luck to Truss on her new role, she certainly needs it!
