SEZA LAUDS SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION

-

Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA) has hailed their exhibition at the just ended 2022 Botswana Consumer Fair as a success.

SEZA took part in the seven-day event from the 29th of August to the 4th of September to showcase their services and educate the masses about their mandate.

SEZA is mandated with establishing and developing Special Economic Zones in Botswana.

“We are happy with the turnout of this year’s edition of the fair. The fair has presented us with an opportunity to interact with stakeholders such as the public and potential clients. This was a welcome enhancement of our efforts of taking the organization to the people, “echoed SEZA representatives at their busy stall.

Visitors to the stall were happy to learn that as part of efforts to improve the country’s food security, SEZA was constructing silos at the Pandamatenga Special Economic Zone. The new silos will increase storage capacity by an additional 60 000 metric tonnes to a total of 90 000. The current storage capacity stands at 30 000 metric tonnes. The increased storage capacity will help farmers increase production.

Another key project, visitors learnt, was the recently completed construction of the Boulevard One Road to open up about 100 hectares at the Sir Seretse Khama International Airport Special Economic Zone in Gaborone. This has made the zone ready for investors to set up.
