SEFALANA BIRTHDAY PROMOTION ENDS IN STYLE

-

Sefalana Birthday Promotion came to a thrilling end on Saturday, the initiative climaxing in style with a grand final at the retail giant’s Hyper store in Gaborone’s Block 3 Industrial. Over the course of the three-month competition, which ran from 14th July to 5th September, Sefalana gave away close to P3 million in prizes. To stand a chance of winning, customers were expected to buy goods worth P300 or more, with the inclusion of at least three participating products. The promotion comprised of instant Prizes as well as making up the word ‘Sefalana’ in order to be a finalist in the competition, with Saturday’s grand finale bringing together 20 hopefuls from across the country. Prizes up for grabs on the big day included P100, 000 vouchers for the three main winners, P35, 000 for the six runners-up and P15, 000 vouchers for each of the remaining 11 contestants. One of the grand winners, Getrude Baahama, a loyal customer at Mogoditshane Sefalana Hyper, described her P100, 000 windfall as a life-changing moment. “I am happy that I managed to win and I want to thank God for this as well as Mogoditshane Sefalana workers who all along have been encouraging me to take part in the competition because I was never interested from the onset. This is my first time winning anything, so on my first attempt I managed to win! With my winnings, I will be able to develop my tuck shop further and bring in some of the things which have been lacking,” said a grateful Baahama. Reflecting on a highly successful competition, Sefalana Retail Development Manager, Paul Ramoloi noted the Birthday Promotion, was well organized, professionally conducted and concluded without a hitch. “All the protocols were duly followed since we had auditors who ensured that everything is fair. The competition might be over but we continue to give our customers good competitive prices which do benefit Batswana,” concluded Ramoloi.
