Oh my! Let me tell you, I am a fan of a fiery red lipstick. When I was sent the Fenty beauty Super Bowl lip package by the Fenty Beauty team, I almost fainted and I knew my beauty stack had been upgraded. It was game face on from there. The lipstick I was wearing is Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Super Bowl, the Fenty Icon velvet liquid MVP. It is the same lipstick Rihanna wore for her Super Bowl half time performance recently in February 2023.
This red has staying power. It’s a new kind of velvet matte finish, rich whipped, and is very lightweight and non drying on the lips. It came out with two other lipsticks; a brown and a nudebreadwinner, and the Riri. It’s just one swipe and you have your full coverage from that one swipe. I am always in awe of how Rihanna plays around with make-up. I particularly also love the fact that she is big on inclusion - she caters for all skin types. Some make-up experts have been incredibly creative in using make-up to communicate and she’s definitely one of them. I just love it.
Fenty Beauty might just be the world’s fiercest red lip colour ever. Just a pro tip, kiss a tissue and your lipstick will stay; minimal smudging... that’s an old school trick.
