Espalhada sobre sete colinas, a topografia da cidade é cheia de altos e baixos. Pertence à Serra da Mantiqueira e suas serras alcançam aproximadamente 1.300 metros, com morros com 900 metros e regiões de planície.

Spread over seven hills, the city’s topography with its many ups and downs is part of the Mantiqueira Ridge. Its highest sections reach around 1,300 meters high, but usually the hills go up to 900 meters and there also are plains extending in many directions.
