Bloom Café

-

The newly opened One Riverside luxury apartment buildings have been a subject of intrigue for most locals since its construction to its finish. Lined up along the scenic Kedayan River and with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Kiulap, the area also features a host of eateries and shops for the public, and a lovely little waterfront to take a walk on.

It’s no surprise that an area as lovely as this would have restaurants and cafes to complement the scenery, and Bloom Café – the latest eatery brought to you by Mr Baker’s Bakeshop – is certainly up to the task.

Walking into Bloom Café, one can’t help but feel instantly rejuvenated. The combination of fresh flowers and a whiff of Mr Baker’s baked goods from behind a vintage glass display has the refreshing effect of a tall glass of iced tea on a scorching hot day. Speaking of drinks, the florist cum café shows its best in a coffee mug with a good selection of caffeinated brews to choose from. The mains menu itself is simple but good, with fresh salads, egg dishes and toasts to fill you up while sitting pretty for your bouquets. The same can be said for the dessert menu but we were especially blown away by the chocolate cheese mousse cake—off the menu but still very much on our minds, be sure to ask the staff for any cakes available behind the counter.

Certainly a new favourite place for us to relax and unwind with an excellent cup of coffee and Mr Baker’s trademark delicious desserts amid blooming flowers. And once you’re done, make sure you finish the experience with a leisurely walk on the waterfront.
