A1 Chicken Rice

Many would already be familiar with A1 Chicken Rice at Lintas Plaza as one of the best chicken rice shops in Kota Kinabalu but as of last year, they have been serving freshlycooked dishes to make lunch a more leisurely affair than just a quick dine and rush stop. Extending its premises to accommodate an air-conditioned section with more comfortable seating, expect to delight your taste buds with their signature dishes of mainly seafood, vegetables and of course, chicken. The Melaka assam pedas fish is a stand-out with the chef’s interpretation of this classic Malaysian dish being mildly spicy with the sharp scent of lime leaves coming through to make it incredibly aromatic and appetising. The dish pairs well with the salted egg bitter gourd for a meal that’s spicy, sour, salty and bitter all in one. One hugely popular feature of A1 Chicken Rice is its rice. The grains separate beautifully to a fluffy texture and a fragrant finish. While their chicken rice usually takes little time to get to your table, do expect a bit of waiting for their freshly-cooked dishes during busy lunch hours.
