Loosely based on the true story of Jamaica’s national bobsled team and their debut in the 1988 Winter Olympics, this is a charming feel-good movie that can only end well. Disqualified sprinter Derice, still determined to fulfill his Olympic dreams, enlists the help of disgraced bobsled champion Irv to help him and his three friends qualify for the Winter Olympics. Dressed in rudimentary gear, unprepared for cold weather, the four determined underdogs work hard to get to the finish line, and you’ll find yourself cheering for them (and even shedding a tear) along the way.

FUN FACT: While the Jamaican team in the movie was met at the Winter Olympics with hostility, the real team was received warmly by the other international bobsledding teams, with one team even lending them a bobsled so they could qualify.
