MOD’S Kopitiam

-

Anyone with a penchant for Thai cuisine has inevitably dined at MOD’S Thasanan Restaurant in Jerudong, and as of August 2019, they’ve opened a second branch, this time a kopitiam, in the busy hub of Gadong.

The place is lovely, with pretty blue decorated walls in a sunlit space lined with booths and a corner dedicated to packaged MOD snacks, including their delectable banana chips and crunchy dok jok. The spot is cosy enough for a couple having lunch and spacious enough for larger groups, and if you don’t mind traversing the traffic lined roads leading up to the restaurant, then your patience will be rewarded. Solid kopitiam fare is on offer here, and if you walk into MOD’S expecting more of their well-known Thai cuisine, then you’re in luck: there’s some of that on offer in the menu too.

The menu also offers the prerequisite tea time snacks necessary in all kopitiams. We’d be remiss not to give their ABC a shoutout, and the Steamed Bread that we had with both Pandan flavoured and Thai Tea flavoured custard.
