Pusas the Smokehouse

Established in 2015 with its first outlet at The Peak Vista shoplot, Likas, Pusas the Smokehouse offers a wide range of dishes and comfort food ranging from burgers, club sandwiches and sausages, to name a few. Formerly known as the Smokin Bacon Burger, the diner’s rebranding as Pusas the Smokehouse is a nod to the establishment’s local Sabahan roots, with ‘pusas’ being a Kadazandusun word for ‘comfort food’. Pusas aspires to offer good quality and affordable diner specialties for meat and burger lovers. Over the years, Sabah has been overtaken by the ‘burger wave’, however, maintaining the quality and taste of the burgers seemed to be the biggest challenge for most new burger joints. Luckily, Pusas remains consistent in standards, growing in popularity and offerings since its inception. With a cosy and casual ambience that’s suitable for group hangouts, two of Pusas’s tried and true favourites are the Pastrami Burger Bomb that’s served with 200g of New Zealand beef patty and homemade Pastrami slices, and the Coney Dog, that features the smokehouse’s signature sausage, slathered in meat sauce and topped with cheddar cheese slices - a real carnivore’s dream!
