DOOM (2005)

Starring Karl Urban, Dwayne Johnson and Rosamund Pike Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak Space marines have gone to a research facility on Mars because weird things are happening, and by the end of the film it has gone full on Aliens mode with the main character having to gun down hordes of monsters. Doom is made by filmmakers who loved the game, made it for the fans, and had the smarts to cast good actors.

Karl Urban brings his trademark charisma, Rosamund Pike takes her role as a space scientist seriously, and The Rock is obviously having a lot of fun playing a supervillain. Watch it if you’re a Doom fan, if only just to watch it for that scene where it goes into first-person-shooter mode. That’s true fan service right there.
