Happy 36th National Day, Brunei Darussalam!

On the morning of the Brunei’s National Day, the local population and visitors of the Sultanate converge upon Taman Sir Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the city center to witness the exciting festivities of the annual National Day celebrations.

February 23 of this year marks Brunei’s 36th year of independence, and again, it will be celebrated with the National Day parade and a flurry of activities around the Sultanate.

The National Day parade is the highlight of any year. Graced by the presence of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and members of the Royal family, the parade will feature a marching procession by various government agencies and private companies around the nation, displaying strength, pride and unity.

There will also be fantastic demonstrations and performances throughout the parade, performed by local school children, government agencies and private organisations.

The day is also celebrated with month-long festivities that will take place throughout the nation, in commemorating Brunei Darussalam’s anniversary of independence.
