Umai Sarawak
A traditional dish that comes from the Melanau people of Sarawak, this is a dish of raw fish or prawns mixed with onions, chillies, salt, vinegar and crushed peanuts. Acidic lime juice cooks the raw seafood without heat, and is also responsible for the burst of flavour on your tongue. Refreshing and delicious, this is a dish that is usually eaten as an appetiser but will taste great on its own.
