La Boca means “the mouth” in Spanish, and Ria means “happy” in Malay, and La Boca Ria is a pun on the names of a famous market, in Barcelona, Spain - La Boqueria.

Located on Jalan Tabuan in Kuching, the café was designed with the idea of recreating the old market’s ambience within its humble little space. The colourful, rustic decor, along with the scents drifting out from the kitchen, accompanied by the strains of Spanish guitar music offers the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a Spanish breakfast, tapas, and platters.

All the products at La Boca Ria are imported from Spain, as the owner runs a business importing Spanish foods, and the quality of ingredients used in all their dishes is top-notch.

While the meat and cheese platters at La Boca Ria are highly recommended, coffee aficionados will be pleased to know that the award-winning Spanish coffee brand, Dromedario, is available here, along with some of the best tea and chocolates from Spain.
