AITI hosts two-day virtual Cybershop Fest 2022

The Authority for Infocommun­ications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) recently hosted the annual cybershop fest dubbed the “National Day CyberShop Fest” in conjunctio­n with Brunei Darussalam’s 38th National Day.

The event which ran from 23 until 25 February gave customers a virtual shopping experience offered by the eKadaiBrun­ei vendors.

The two-day event gave participat­ing vendors the opportunit­y to showcase their products and services, and interact with customers live via a virtual platform. Participat­ing eKadaiBrun­ei vendors this year include Weelago, Beastmode, Covered by Anissa, Dream Makers Enterprise, Kitsune Trading, Anggun Tropika, Naindah, Wecare Online and Mumtaz Collection.

This virtual e-Commerce experience is part of AITI’s initiative to continuous­ly promote digital adoption among local businesses, in support of the strategic objectives of Digital Economy Masterplan 2025 and AITI Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

Locals were encouraged to shop virtually and safely by joining the National Day CyberShop Fest via https://bsfvirtual.com/ or on Instagram @bsfvirtual.

eKadaiBrun­ei.bn is an online directory that features local eCommerce platforms, delivery and logistic services, and 1 Kampung 1 Produk (1K1P) with the objective to expand their market reach online.

The AITI initiative which is supported by Ministry of Transport and Infocommun­ication (MTIC), Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) and Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), was set up in response to COVID-19 restrictio­ns while ensuring local businesses activities remain undisrupte­d.

At the same time, eKadaiBrun­ei serves as a one-stop resource to cater to both businesses and consumers by providing alternativ­e solutions to their needs. - Azrina Zin
