Virtual forum addressing issues on stray animals this Sunday

Calling all animal lovers! Team Muezza is set to conduct their first-ever virtual forum session titled “Do Your Part: Care and Help for Strays”, addressing the issues and creating awareness about stray animals on Sunday, 6 March at 2.30 pm via Zoom platform.

The team consists of government officers who are currently undergoing the Youth Executive Program Cohort 6 under the leadership of the Civil Service Institute.

They are joining hands to organise the forum as part of their Community Work Project called ‘Projek: Pawsitive’.

The project will be addressing the local issues relating to stray animals and focusing on the theme of ‘Care and Help for Strays’ to address issues on stray animals and raise awareness for them.

The team has invited representatives from local NGOs who are actively involved in raising awareness and rescuing the strays to share ideas and discuss ways to migrate the problems.

Panelists for this forum include three passionate individuals, Allysa Koh, a representative from Care and Action for Strays (CAS), Dr. Sharifah Huda, founder of Save Our Strays (SOS), UBD and lastly, Jay Lau, founder of PawsUp Tv, who all want to raise awareness about animal care, health and safety and they hope to inspire others to do good by stray animals.

With this forum, the team hopes to educate the people in Brunei about helping and caring for stray animals so that more people will do their part when they see stray animals and lend them a helping hand.

Additionally, the public is encouraged, from students of various schools and institutions and youths to join in on the forum and show their support by registering through the link https://forum1.

For further information on the event, interested individuals can follow their Instagram @pawsitive. bn or reach out to them by emailing them at pawsitivebrunei@ -
