Turkish Embassy hosts cuisine workshop for food lovers

The embassy of the Republic of Turkey recently organised the Turkish Cuisine Workshop in conjunctio­n with the occasion of Global Turkish Cuisine Week led by certified Turkish Chef, Adem Can.

The gastronomi­cal event involved ten food lovers who were selected via Instagram @ turkishemb­assybrunei.

During the workshop, participan­ts were expected to learn the skills and methodolog­y of making three delectable and flavorful Turkish dishes and delicacies according to traditiona­l recipes.

The dishes were namely Kısır (Bulghur Salad) Yaprak Sarma (Stuffed Vine Leaves) and Tulumba Tatlısı (Syrup-Soaked Pastry)

Turkish Cuisine Week was launched all around the world under the auspices of the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey, Emine Erdoğan and coordinate­d by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism to appreciate Turkey’s deeply rooted culinary tradition, a blend of cuisine from Central Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterran­ean, establishe­d on the foundation­s of various civilisati­ons for thousands of years.
