His Majesty confers state decoration­s to 23 individual­s

Twenty-three individual­s were conferred with state decoration­s by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Friday at the Istana Nurul Iman in conjunctio­n with His Majesty’s 76th birthday.

His Majesty first bestowed three recipients with The Most Exalted Order of Paduka Keberanian Laila Terbilang (First Class, DPKT), carrying the title “Dato Paduka Seri”.

They are General Mohammad Andika Perkasa of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Tan Sri Dato Seri Haji Affendi

Buang of the Malaysian Air Force and Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi Bol Hassan, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces

Moreover, three other highrankin­g officials from the military and senior government officials also received their decoration­s from the monarch.

The Most Gallant Order of Pahlawan Negara Brunei (First Class, PSPNB) which carries the title “Dato Seri Pahlawan” was conferred to Sulaiman Alidin; Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force Brigadier General Saifulriza­l Abdul Latif; and RBAF Joint Force Commander Brigadier General Haji Alirupendi Haji Perudin.

The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei (First Class, PSNB) with the title “Dato Seri Setia” was conferred to six ministers.

The recipients are Minister of Home Affairs Yang Berhormat Haji Ahmaddin Haji Abdul Rahman; Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf Haji Metussin; Minister of Developmen­t Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Haji Muhammad Juanda Haji Abdul Rashid; Minister of Education Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah Haji Md Salleh; Minister of Transport and Infocommun­ications Yang Berhormat Pengiran Shamhary Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha; and Minister of Cutlture, Youth and Sports Yang Berhormat

Meanwhile, six other government officials were conferred with The Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (First Class, SPMB) which carries the title “Dato Seri Paduka”.

The individual­s are; Attorney General Yang Berhormat Haji Ahmad Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Isa; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Mohammed Riza Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos; Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Paduka Haji Sufian Haji Sabtu; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Haji Khairuddin Haji Abdul Hamid; Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy Pengiran Hajah Zety Sufina Pengiran Dato

Paduka Haji Sani; and Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohammad Tashim Pengiran Haji Hassan.

The Most Eminent Order of Islam Brunei (Second Class, DSSUB) was granted to one recipient, Senior Istinbat Officer at the State Mufti’s Office Haji Dennie Haji Abdullah, carrying the title “Dato Seri Setia”.

Moreover, two other individual­s were honoured with The Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei (Second Class, DPMB) carrying the title “Datin Paduka”.

His Majesty bestowed the order to Vice Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Brunei Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah Haji Sulaiman and Hajah Anifa Rafiza Haji Abd Ghani.

One individual was granted The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei (Third Class, SNB), Hajah Nor Hashimah Haji Mohd Taib.

The prestigiou­s ceremony concluded with a doa selamat read by State Mufti Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz Juned.
