Manager sought: $200k salary, no degree required
More than 90 people have applied for a Waikato management role that offers more than $200,000 a year and does not require a tertiary degree. A Trade Me spokesman said the Cambridge-based position, as general manager of Blueberry Country, New Zealand’s largest blueberry orchard, was the highestpaying role advertised on the website that did not have a formal tertiary qualification as a prerequisite. Recruiter Cameron King, of Tribe Group, said he had received 92 CVs for the role so far and was juggling constant phone calls. A spokeswoman for Seek said it too had listings for high-paying jobs that did not require a formal qualification. A regional manager for a ‘‘super sexy’’ fashion brand could expect to earn $150,000-plus while a head of retail at Macpac would earn $120,000-plus.
