Noticing three big building-like structures under the waves, they strap on their scuba and decide to pop down to investigate.

Seemingly out of nowhere (but not actually out of nowhere, out of the “big building-like structure”), a massive current pulls one of the hapless pair into (what turns out to be) the water intake pipe of the massive nuclear power plant located on this particular piece of coast.

The involuntary flume ride sucks him through the cooling pipe, half a kilometre towards the enormous turbine at the end.

Incredibly, rather than being chopped into a thousand tiny pieces, our doltish diver is spat into the reactor’s cooling water holding tank, from which he is fished out, shaken but not stirred.
