BLEST CORPORATION

Japanese inventor Akinori Ito created a household appliance that uses electricity and heat to convert plastic back into its original form – oil. The oil can then be used for a variety of purposes such as for heating, as fuel for cars, motorbikes or boats. The carbon negative system is currently sold by his company, Blest Corporation.

RWDC INDUSTRIES

Biotech startup RWDC Industries is creating fully biodegradable PHA plastics to replace existing non-biodegradable single-use plastics. Headquartered in Singapore, the company’s biodegradable plastic material is made via bacterial fermentation of either plant-based oils or sugar and will biodegrade within weeks.
