COMPANIES DOING THEIR PART

Corporations are responding to the demands of consumers and investors to reduce the amounts of plastic they use in their packaging. Some of the big names like Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Danone, and Mondelēz International are even dabbling with the possibility of taking ownership of their product packaging. A new service called LOOP, which is launching in New York and Paris in May this year, produces reusable packaging and then collects it from the consumer for refill and reuse.
