Bluff Island is one of the Ung
Kong Group of islands situated within Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. The uninhabited island is home to the remains of a car that many locals believe was discarded in the ocean by smugglers decades ago in a desperate bid to get rid of whatever incriminating evidence was inside. The site is a relatively simple dive that ranges from a depth of six to 10 metres, making it a great spot for novice divers who are looking to explore something other than the usual aquatic life.
VISIBILITY Up to 12 metres
DEPTH 9 to 12 metres “Bluff Island is one of the Ung Kong Group of islands situated within Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark”
On the east side of the bay, there’s a fringing coral reef featuring a variety of hard coral species and associated marine life, which is definitely worth checking out.
