CEDAR PRIDE WRECK
The wreck of the Cedar Pride is by far the most iconic wreck in Aqaba. The MV Cedar Pride was a 74-metre Lebanese cargo vessel built in 1964 that sustained extensive damage during a fire in 1982. King Abdullah would soon decide to scuttle it and transform it into a dive site. This old container ship is easily accessible from shore and boasts a variety of stunning corals. Among the marine life you’ll encounter are urchins, shrimps, Spanish dancers, and soft coral crabs, plus the odd barracuda, Napoleon wrasse or turtle.
