Located within the bounds of a private beach club, Black Rock is a popular dive site for beginners. There are huge lettuce corals, fire corals and soft coral heads in the shallower waters, but as you follow the sloping reef, down to around 30 metres, you’ll encounter interestin­g topography, black coral forests, and big fish schools.

Commonly seen here are emperors, snappers, orange basslets, scorpionfi­sh, lionfish, small triggerfis­h, parrotfish, as well as the common reef fishes. Spot turtles among the lettuce corals

WATER TEMPERATUR­E 22°C to 25°C

VISIBILITY 10 to 30 metres

DEPTH 10 to 45 metres

and look out for octopuses and dolphins in the blue.
