Shangri-la Offers Music Appreciation for Toddlers
In line with its learn through play mantra, Shangri-la has launched Symphony buds, a new partnership with Steinway Gallery Singapore and Staccato! Music for a first-of-its-kind offering in a hotel in Singapore. The music appreciation classes cater to children from one to six years old. Weekday classes are open to hotel guests and the general public on an individual or 12-class series basis. Symphony buds has two classes. The Beethoven Toddler programme is designed to help toddlers between one and three years recognise basic rhythm, pulse, tempo, pitch and instruments through a creative and unique introduction to classical music with exciting themes. Children will foster creativity, learn social skills, build their confidence and develop their motor skills in this interactive class. Chopin Preschooler caters to children from three to six years old by helping them recognise basic and complex rhythms, pulse and tempo, define articulations and other music terms, which will in turn enhance their imagination, cognitive, gross, fine motor and social skills.
