World Fash­ion Week 2017 is mix­ing things up this year by high­light­ing eco-friendly fash­ion in the Malaysian me­trop­o­lis of Kuala Lumpur. South­east Asia will be well rep­re­sented, with de­sign­ers such as Romyda Keth from Cam­bo­dia, In­done­sia’s New York Fash­ion Week par­tic­i­pant An­niesa Ha­si­buan and many oth­ers from Thailand, Viet­nam and Malaysia. The event is ex­pected to draw up to 100,000 visi­tors. “In a bid to have a greener earth, fash­ion is one of the im­por­tant in­dus­tries to make change as the tex­tile in­dus­try is among the largest con­trib­u­tors to global warn­ing,” said Maziah Mo­hamad, pres­i­dent of the event’s or­gan­is­ing com­mit­tee.
