Winds foil slopestyle so Kiwi, American win gold

-

NEW Zealand’s Zoi SadowskiSynnott and American Chris Corning were declared slopestyle snowboard world champions on Sunday after high winds wiped out the World Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championships. What were to have been the final events of the 10-day gathering at Park City, Utah, instead saw results awarded based upon Saturday’s qualifying scores. Canada’s Mark McMorris and American Judd Henkes claimed the men’s second and third places, while in the women’s event Norway’s Silje Norendal was second and American Jamie Anderson claimed third.
