Ministry invites IT firms to trade fair in New Delhi

THE Ministry of Commerce on December 1 called on the Cambodian information technology (IT) sector to attend the international IT networking event IndiaSoft 2021 in New Delhi next year.

Held annually since 2000, this year’s edition of the trade fair will showcase new technologies developed by more than 200 Indian companies, the ministry said.

On display will be worldclass computer software, as well as IT solutions and services such as software development and artificial-intelligence technologies, it said.

The trade fair will be held from March 24-25 and organised by India’s Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), it added.

“This is an invitation to business owners, producers, service providers, traders and investment company owners who wish to promote their products or services or plan to seek business partners at the event. Please register in a timely manner to participate in the trade fair,” the ministry said.

IndiaSoft pitches itself as a “truly B2B [business-to-business] event which brings value for exhibitors and delegates with its unique business-like character”.

It says it “brings to the fore capabilities and core competencies of the Indian software and ser vices industry and facilitates joint ventures, collaboration and strategic alliances with overseas buyers”.

Super App Technology Plc founder Pat Chamnan told The Post on December 2 that if the Covid-19 situation eases by then, his company will sign up for the exhibition and a shot at bringing his company’s software technologies to a broader audience.

Eager to learn about India’s emerging technologies, he said: “As a software company, we will get a glimpse of something new. We work in the digital sector where technologies are rapidly being developed day by day . . . We hope to gain valuable experience from the exhibition.”
