Rules set for colour localities in capital

-

AS THE modified lockdown measures take effect on April 29, the Phnom Penh Municipal Administration has issued a directive that explains which businesses can operate in yellow and dark yellow zones.

In the directive dated April 28, Phnom Penh municipal governor Khuong Sreng said all businesses in yellow zones can resume operations, including food and beverage outlets, but they must practice health and safety measures.

“All markets, restaurants, food stalls, cafes, beverage shops, and all other food and beverage businesses in yellow zones are permitted – but all must be for take away,” Sreng said in the directive.

All businesses in the yellow zones must require their staff and customers to abide by Covid-19 preventive measures as directed by the Ministry of Health.

In dark yellow zones, food and beverage businesses can reopen but can only provide takeaway service. All business in red zones is forbidden.

Sreng instructed all of the capital’s 14 district administrations, the Phnom Penh Municipal departments of commerce and Tourism to check that all establishments in dark yellow zones do not violate these orders.

He said the directive will be in place for seven days from April 29 to May 5, when a new notice will be posted.
