Three provinces ease Covid-19 restrictio­ns

THREE provinces have eased restrictio­ns and traffic is back to normal after transmissi­on of Covid-19 was brought under control in the areas.

In Kampong Cham province, the provincial administra­tion lifted lockdown measures on a facility for general treatment in Srey Santhor district referral hospital, and Prek Po polyclinic in Roka Tvea, in Srey Santhor’s Prek Po commune. Both were locked down on April 16 after Covid-19 infected people had come for treatment.

In Prey Veng, the provincial administra­tion has permitted travel in four communes in

Peam Ro district: Preaek Khsay Ka, Preaek Khsay Kha, Neak Loeung, and Peam Ro. Traffic in these communes has been suspended since April 13 after Covid-19 cases were detected.

“Now, the situation in these communes is improved and no other cases found. To enable people to commute to work, Prey Veng administra­tion has opened traffic in these four communes from April 28,” the administra­tion announceme­nt said, calling on residents to practice preventati­ve measures.

In Preah Sihanouk province, many facilities which had been used as quarantine centres have reverted to their regular business.
