Slumberjack Roadhouse Tarp Get out of the rain or beat the heat on the trail with this slick truck tarp. It comes with two 2.4 m (8’) poles so you can use it with or without your vehicle, but the two-pole set-up using your vehicle gives you a great covered space. This 4 x 4.9 m (160x192”) ‘truck awning’ also comes with stakes and guidelines so you can pull it out of its included carry bag and be ready to set it up - you supply the patio lanterns.

Roughhouse 4-Person Tent Like most tent descriptions, sure you can get four guys in the tent, you can also get four sardines in a can, but I don’t want to be one of them. The tent floor is 226 x 254 cm (89 x 100in) - enough for three guy-sized sleeping bags, but you can’t walk around. It is a comfortable size for a queen mattress though. The tent walls are fairly vertical and the 153 cm (60.5 in) roof height isn’t tall enough to stand in, but the lower height does make the tent more storm and wind resistant.

It does excel with a full coverage rain fly and fully taped seams so you stay dry. It’s really quick to set up at about ten minutes. Carry bag, pegs and guy lines are included but you’ll still need to buy a footprint to go underneath.

It weighs in at just over 7 kg (almost 16 lbs). $200 USD slumberjack.com

Wheeler Lake 20 Sleeping Bag This is a super comfortable three season sleeping bag - assuming your winter is like ours and dips well below freezing. It’s a great design that creates a platform for your pillow or zips into a hood like a mummy bag for those colder nights. We also like the enlarged foot box so you can sleep on your back and point your toes to the sky. It will fit folks up to 193 cm (6’4”) tall.

It’s a 190T poly taffeta shell and liner with a synthetic insulation. The offset quilt is a smart design as well - by overlapping the insulating panels there are no cold spots.
