HIGH SPEED HAIL CANNON TO SHOW TOUGHNESS OF HYBRID WINDSHIELDS

Hyperformance Glass Products (HGP)booth at the 2019 Sema Show will feature a hail cannon firing balls of ice, designed to simulate a large hail piece striking a windshield at terminal velocity (65 mph). The current market for quality aftermarket glazing is limited, and consumers don’t have access to the latest in glass technology. Using Corning Gorilla Glass for Automotive Exteriors as an inner ply of its glazing, HGP hopes to become the top producer of quality glazing, selling directly to the consumer.

This first hybrid glazing product has been tested and proven to be 2.5x tougher than a traditional soda-lime windshield.
